FAQ's

Why are custom cakes, cookies, etc. so expensive?
Most people don't realize the amount of time it actually takes to create these works of art. You may look at a cake or a cookie and think, “It’s just flour and sugar, what’s the big deal?” Well my friend, the truth is it is much more than that. One set of cookies can take 8-12 hours depending on the details of the cookies. A cake can take anywhere from 10-30 hours. This includes preparing the dough and or batter, chill time, bake time, cool time, making the icing, coloring the icing, decorating, rolling fondant, placing the fondant on the cake, adding details, airbrushing, and drying time just to name a few. Not to mention purchasing the ingredients and/or ordering special equipment such as cookie cutters, special pans, sprinkles, packing, etc. It all adds up and to expect to pay conveyor belt pricing is just not realistic. What you are paying for is our time and expertise. Anything custom is expensive for all these reasons and more.

Can you work with my budget?
I think most potential customers believe that once I give my quote that's the end. While I will continue to charge for my work, I can always try to accommodate your budget by adjusting the details and making some changes to the designs. The best thing for you to do is before inquiring about a price for a product, come up with a budget for your cake, cookies, etc. How much would you like to spend? But please be realistic about how much it would cost knowing how much work it takes for the baker. If the baker comes back with a quote that is out of your budget, ask if there is a way to come up with a more simplistic design that can better accommodate your budget. It never hurts to ask. I believe we are all willing to help make your event special no matter how big or small, without hurting your pockets or our own.

Why should you support a small business?
By buying small you are helping to support a family or lifelong a dream. Support doesn't just mean financially. Another way to support a small business in a big way that is absolutely free is by following them on ALL social media platforms. Your follow, like or share helps spread their name out to the world. And the best part is it costs you nothing. You could play a great part in helping them succeed. Because while their business may not fit your budget, it may fit someone else in your circle. Share the love!

Do you give discounts?
Unfortunately, I do not give discounts. This is a small business. I am a one-woman show. If I give you a discount that is money I take away from my family, the supplies and the energy it took to make that good.

How far in advance should I book?
2 weeks or more in advance is great.

However, in extremely rare cases, I could possibly do 1 week prior and that would depend heavily on my schedule. I would rather you book the earliest possible. But check with me first with an email. Any order placed less than a week is subject to a 25% rush fee if I am able to accommodate the order.

How do I book?
Please fill out one of the forms under the “Order Forms” button on my website. There is a specific Form for each group of treats I offer, so please read each Form carefully (you will need to scroll down the page to see them all). Fill out the form to the best of your ability. The more information I have the better, that way I can give you a more accurate price.  Once the form has been submitted I will review and get back to you within 72 hours with an invoice. Upon receipt of the invoice you will have 48 hours to book your date of event with your full or partial payment.  All orders under $200.00 must be paid in full. All orders over $200.00 may be paid half at booking and the final payment must be received no later than 3 weeks prior to the event. Your event will only be confirmed and on my calendar once payment is received within the 48 hours from receipt of the invoice. If the payment is not received within the 48 hour grace period, the date may be forfeited and given up to the next client requesting the same date.

Please read in full the “Terms and Agreements” regarding my deposit, refund, and payment policies prior to submitting your order form. This form must also be completed and submitted to process your order.
